Grandma and Grandpa visit

Grandma and Grandpa came down for a few days to visit and go to a family friends wedding reception.

Joel saved our butts, and was ever helpful around the house. I am not allowed to use the lawn edger (some such nonsense about me losing toes….), and Jon in his current state cannot do the job either. SO best father-in-law ever knocked out this sweaty chore for us. The lawn looks SO much better now.

He also was our third driver/tier filler upper. Punk kids deflated a couple of the vans tiers, and that popped out a nail from one of them. So Joel filled them up and followed Jon to the tire shop to get the hole fixed, took Jon to work, came back over to the house, finished edging, waited for me to get back from taking Kaylee to school, then went with me to pick up the van and take it Jon so he would have a car to drive home so I wouldn't have to worry about picking him up after work. Longest winded sentence ever.

IMG_2605The children asked if they could go into the foyer and get their wiggle out.  GO.WIGGLE.IMG_2610The bride and groom had a PINATA! Hello. LOVE.THEM. I so want a reception do over so I can have a pinata. How fun is this?!

IMG_2614 IMG_2618 IMG_2624We swung by the temple just because it was there and so were we. So pretty.

IMG_2687Oh, wait. That's better.

Good times people. Good times.

Reganism

IMG_2522I was drying my hair, pulling it "straight" with my big paddle brush when I heard a commotion from my room. Through the noise of the hair dryer mind you. So I turned off the dryer and went to investigate said noise.

Me: Regan, whatcha doing buddy?

Regan: (looks up) WHOA! Mom! You needa go get handsome hair fast!

Me: (laughing) Okay buddy, but first stop using my bed as a trampoline.

Regan: Oh, right Mom. Sorry. (Dismounts and heads out.)

To be fair my hair was a tad on the crazy side. And to be honest I did LOTS of damage control before taking this photo. It was SO much bigger. HAHA. I love my hair.

What I really love though is that Regan refers to done hair (male/female) as handsome hair. Makes me giggle every time he tells me or Kaylee that we have such handsome hair.

Preschool day one

We are doing joy school again. This is Regan third year doing pre-school. He loves it. I love that this time around I have more Mom's doing it with me. So far we have three kids and three Moms. I teach once every other week, and Kaylee is excited that she gets her one on one Mom time back.

Regan is SO excited that he has school just for him and not for Kaylee. He really had a hard time not being able to do school with her (They did 2 years of joy school together.) when she went to kindergarten.

Last year he had a bit of separation anxiety right at drop off. This year he all but flew to the front door he was so excited! He is having lots of fun, and learning new things. Best part is he has a boy in his class with him this year. He is no longer out numbered by girls. I really think that is his favorite part about school so far.
