Jon’s bbq patio part 1

Spring break day 3: While the children were crumbing up my bed and having an epic lazy day I was out side getting started on Jon's birthday/father's day gift. I have had this plan in my head for a while and decided I needed to knock this project out before it gets deathly hot here.

We have had this awkward walk way through this awkward patch of grass near the side yard and workshop. I have been planning to fill it in and have a nice patio/table/chair spot. I did the math and realized I could reuse the old pavers and make Jon a bbq patio.

I started working on prepping the spot and getting it all leveled and compacted and graded just right. ALL.DAY.

After work Jon helped me with the fun part. Relocating and laying the pavers in place.

I am SO sore, but SO excited about how this is looking. It needs paint, a dividing wall (to block it off from the garbage bins), and of course a grill.

Spring break 2014 day 3

Day three they JUST wanted to have breakfast in bed. And watch shows ALL.DAY.LONG. I told them they could have a muffin and each pick ONE show, but they had to promise not to get any crumbs in my bed. HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA! SO wishful thinking on my part.

SO SO SO SO SO many crumbs in my bed. TONS! It was crazy. I think it would have been better for me to have not made the emphatic request.

They LOVED it. I 99.9% of the time shoot down their breakfast in bed and watch a show requests. But hey. Spring break and all.
