Spring break

Shannon drove us all up to Utah for Spring break. It was AWESOME! We had SO much fun. The kids got in some great cousin/Grandparents/friend time in. Shannon was also able to score a great deal (decided to swing by Target) on a duel screen car dvd player right before we hopped on the freeway. So the girls in the back got a screen, and the boys got their own to look at. We had the kiddos take turns picking movies so there was no fighting over entertainment. It was such a quiet drive (for having 6 kiddos in a car for 8 hours).

Happy children in the van.

Grandma made yummy breakfasts (meals) for us.

Regan and Cassie fought over this toy phone. Luckily Grandma found another one. Regan kept “calling” his Papa, and having conversations. It was cute.

We went to story time at the library, and the children made these fun hats.

Then we went (Mom H. let me borrow a car) to St. George to visit all our Kreyling family. We started with a visit to my Grandma Kreyling. Regan and Kaylee had fun playing with her train.

They of course HAD to play Grandma Joanie’s piano.

As we were saying goodbye to Grandma, Kaylee said, “I will miss you lots, but don’t worry, I will see you soon.” It was so sweet.

We were able to visit Jamie, Linda, and the girls. It was short, but sweet.

After getting the back to my parents house and in jammies Regan decided to take a dive into the coffee table. The amount of blood was spectacular. My Dad knows me too too well and was right there with his camera before I could even ask. My Mom thought we were crazy, but I like to document the good, the bad, and the ugly. I was pleasantly surprised at how fast a split lip heals.

The next day we drove up to Cedar City to visit with the Owens’. It was SO nice to watch the children play and visit. Kaylee misses her friends so much. She was SUPER excited to see her Carter.

Carter did NOT want me to take his picture. haha. Guess my camera has been away from him for too long.

Grandma had a fun bubble set for each of the kiddos. They spent a fun filled afternoon blowing bubbles at each-other.

The Grandpaaaa with 6 of his 8 visiting grandchildren.

These 2 decided to sit a a calmer quieter dinner table.

Our last night of fun before heading back to Arizona. Grandma and Grandpa took us swimming! Regan didn’t stay a wallflower for too too long, but by the time he decided it was o.k. to play and have fun I had put my shiny new camera away (FAR away from water). I might need to pick up a water proof disposable camera for kicks sometime this summer….

Kaylee on the other hand had a blast!

She went down the kiddie slides too many time to count. I am excited to get her into swim lessons. She’s finally at that age of being able to have fun at the pool with out a parent hovering, so lessons are a must.

I loved that Kaylee wanted to hold hands with these two. She wants a sister BAD.

Shannon mid scolding me for, “…taking a picture of me now!?”
Why yes. Yes I am. And I will put it on my blog too. hehe. Good thing she loves me huh?

After getting the children down for the night we ladies got busy laying out (The picture above is NOT the layout we ended up using. it was just the first of may layouts.) what will be Mom’s EPIC family photo wall. I took a photo for reference (So we could get frames off the floor and away from little hands.) and we nailed all the frames up the next morning.

I had so much fun with these three. Even when they laugh at my excessive photo taking. 🙂

And we (mostly Shannon) did hair. Lots of do’s and cuts happened on this trip. It was just a great Spring break.

Heaton Reunion

So about a year ago Jon had the awesome idea that we should have a reunion after his parents got home. It took that long to plan all the details, and was SO AWESOME! Jon’s oldest brother Josh has an awesome friend who’s family has a cabin in Show Low. And what they call a cabin we call and I will quote Kaylee, “The really really big giant house castle.” Man was that house big. It comfortably fit us all. Which is saying tons. There were 15 adults and 16 children 8yrs and younger. Yup 31 people and not feeling squished when everyone was inside. BIG HOUSE!

We made a craptastic piñata for the children. They did some awesome decorating on it before bashing it to pieces.

My all time FAVORITE picture of our trip is “drunk” Regan. Cracks me up every time I see it.

We of course took lots of group and individual family photos. Not too shabby for 31 people on a rainy Sunday afternoon. Thank you mister tripod! This was day one attempting to do some new photos for us. The children just were not feeling it.

This was attempt number 2. It went a tad better.

Jon and I decided to get silly. He was mostly trying to help me keep my cool during the situation. The children were just not wanting Mama to have a nice new everyone looking and smiling at the camera photo. Oh, well………..

Then we went and saw Jack’ee. She chopped mine and Kaylee’s hair. She also made us the most delish red velvet cake, and refused to let me get a picture of her. Kaylee and I are LOVING our new summer hair.

We had SO much fun visiting with everyone, and introducing Regan to family. He (we) had SO much fun visiting Grandma and Grandad Sapp. And we enjoyed delish party leftovers on our way home. Thanks Deb and Lauren for the yummyness! And a HUGE thanks you to Aunt Deb for mailing us back my Dad’s camera (that he foolishly trusted us with…. never again though…) that we left. (Ya, we are SO awesome!)

a visit to our LeFevre’s

We NEEDED to go see our friends. So we took a mini vacation over conference weekend. It was SO wonderfully refreshing. Kaylee keeps asking to go back to Angie’s house. Ya, we had that much fun!

What did we do? NOTHING! Just sat around visiting with our best friends (they were our matchmakers) and watched the kids have TONS of fun.

Kaylee was in HEAVEN! Matt let her play drums (she LOVES drums and so was SO excited to play “real” ones), Dylan had TONS of trains and dinosaurs that she had a blast with, and Cylest used Kaylee as her own life size barbie doll (both girls LOVED this), Cylest even took Kaylee ALL over the neighborhood (this made Kaylee feel SO grown up).

Regan had a blast going up and down stairs (he is a pro now), playing with Greyson, and going out back and playing with the dog. He then decided that having a fever and Butt Vomit would be cool. His trip was half fun, half icky. (dumb teething!)

Matt put Dylan’s crazy head piece on Kaylee. She LOVED it.

Playing dinosaurs with Dylan.

She’s got her make up done in this one. They also did hair and nails.

Both the girls all dressed up.

This was her favorite dress. She loved the crown.

She even got to play in the random snow the dumped. You know the day after flying kites and wearing shorts.

We hope to be able to visit our LeFevre’s again soon. Next time though we will makes sure Dylan doesn’t get lit on fire! (That’s what happens when Jon and Matt start to play…. No worries Dylan didn’t burn and now has a cool story to tell.)
