Wonder Woman

Today instead of cleaning the house I made Kaylee's Halloween costume. I think it was a much better use of my time. The house may not agree…..

To be honest I put the stars on her skirt last night. I am getting a TON of use out of my silhouette! SO SO SO much faster than cutting out freezer paper by hand! Today I dyed, washed, and dried a shirt red, and put the logo on it. Plus made a couple of boots.

Also I still need to make her bracelets. You know, so she can deflect those bullets. I have a plan for those. Should be easy peasy.

Her boots are made out of duct tape. Took me a bout 45ish minutes to do both boots. I cut them off in the back, and her foot just slips in and out. We will just duct tape them on her when we need to.

And she will be rocking her navy blue shorts instead of her black shorts. Because there will be lots of kicking bad guys.

She is pretty fond of her lasso of truth.

Man we are EXCITED about Halloween around here! And you can really see my couple pieces of scotch tape in these last few photos.

The weekend I turned 30

Jon was way too excited when the rest of my gifts arrived. So you get photos of me Au natural.

Meanwhile, MORE gifts?! Hello. Did he forget that he got me a Cameo? Not that I am complaining. Just pointing out how very spoiled I am feeling. In a good way. I really don't mind at all when the hubby spoils me.

Then he took me out to dinner which basically means I didn't cook for four days. Thursday, B-day dinner. Friday FSA girls night out. Saturday conference/party day. Freezer meal for Sunday. BEST.WEEKEND.EVER!

Shannon had this great idea to make conference baskets for all the kiddos. We love how they turned out. AND the kids LOVED them.

The girls got primmed and pampered (in the same room that had the t.v. for conference listening.) for family photos, and the boys "watched" conference. To be fair this was one 10 min sleepy spell. Also i must say EXCELLENT talks!

We got some cute photos of all the kids and families. Well really just a couple good ones of Regan. It was windy, and he was I thought suffering with allergies. He spiked a fever later that night.

Little man was snotty and miserable. The rest of us look great in this photo though.

This however is by far my absolute favorite photo of the day. Cutest photo bomber ever. And Kaylee and Regan's reactions crack me up!

My sweet niece Sarah is exactly 21 years younger than me. I love sharing a birthday with her. Every year I know that I will at the very least remember her birthday (17 nieces and nephews). She requested a pug pinata. Her favorite color is pink, so I made her a pink pug pinata.

Birthday + Conference = perfect weekend.

Tiny Dancer

I think we shall call him, "The Boy Who Cries. A LOT." or equally popular for his current stage of life, "Whinny bum." This kid is giving us some fun emotional whiplash lately. Today he wanted to dance too. We are thinking on it. Kid is going to trip on that lip someday. He has his pout down.

Kaylee has been begging for dance classes, or gymnastics classes, or soccer for a while now. I FINALLY got her to pick ONE. I think we will also be able to swing soccer. Later. We are still adjusting to the new schedule and school.

The studio she goes to offers a free trial class. So she checked it out, and LOVED it. So we signed her up for Jazz/Ballet class. She is having so much fun, and looks way TOO cute in class.

I am really loving having my tiny dancer in actual dance classes. And more importantly she is LOVE LOVE LOVING dance class.
