London and Paris 2015

Stressed to the max as a new foster Mom. TO.THE.MAX! When I jokingly (but wishfully) mentioned a girls trip to Jon and gave him all the information I thought it would be a no. Because he is also stressed to the max being a new foster Dad. 5 children under 6 is crazy pants on a good day. Then you toss in various therapy/medical/social worker visits plus school and WHOA!

Well after thingking about it for a few days Jon said GO. WHAT?! NINE days in London and Paris with my sister in law Shannon and friends. SUPER exciting to get to use my passport again. I felt bad that Jon would miss this amazing adventure but he said the flight was too long and he could google search these places. HAHAHA!

Poor Sally was still fighting a bought of vertigo when we got started. She needed lots of down

time. These ladies here kept me from getting lost. I would have quite literally been lost with out them

and had far lass fun too. We were overly fascinated with working phone booths. Sister Shannon was my room mate for our trip. Best room mate ever! Queens Gate was our first hotel. A lovely spot right in the middle of loads of tourist attractions.

So many Shaun the Sheep statues all over. Since our kiddos LOVE this show we took lots of silly pictures to show them.

It was SO cold for us coming from triple digit weather. Poor Sally forgot her hat and improvised with her scarf to keep her ears warm.

Stone Hedge was just as magical as you would imagine.

Harry Potter studio tour was epic.

Sally did not join us on this tour but she sent us an “I’m resting after solo museum tour”  photos.

London was a blast but Paris did not disappoint either! So beautiful. Such a welcome break from my new normal. A great recharge to dive back in and Mom my kiddos. So grateful for Jon sending me and Shannon on this much needed Mom vacation! Grateful for my sweet Mother in law coming down to help him with the kids and Dwayn’s Mom for doing the same for them so Shannon could come with. I am so lucky to have such love and support in my family and friends.
