A Reganism and 22 months old

Because water safety is VERY important to him. (And us!)

Even when he is inside and can’t find his own life jacket. (By the way Regan, it’s in the living room where you dumped it last night.)

He has decided that life jackets are cool (Because they mean swimming, which is awesome!). Oh, and so is sitting on the potty! He wants to train bad. I am making him wait until we get re-settled. (I am such a mean Mama.)

But on occasion he drags me to the bathroom and has me help him put his seat on and climb up. It’s always exciting full of clapping, “I Di it!” (Though he has yet to do “it”.), and “YEA!s” Kid is getting ready to be diaper free. Makes a Mama want to cry with pure joy I tell ya.

Today our little man is 22 months old. He is doing AWESOME!!! Aunt Cole told us about this cool drug that her little man Dan (For his food allergies. It’s totally genetic.) is on. And now Regan gets to enjoy the occasional crazy food item like PIZZA! And I get to be a bit more relaxed about food (Don’t want to press my luck so still feeding him mostly “his” foods).

I gotta say I LOVE not panicking if another child/adult shares a cheese nip with him for example. (One nip would cause days of Butt Vomit prior to the new meds. Not so much fun for anyone!) And it’s SO fun watching him enjoy foods with FLAVOR! Today he is getting Mac and Cheese with hot dogs to celebrate the big 22 (months that is.). I thinks it’s nasty gross, but make it for Jon and Kaylee on occasion. And since they LOVE it, I thought I’d see if Regan might enjoy it.

He didn’t. Guess he takes after me. This is what happened:

Kaylee: “Mama! You need to come see this mess” I was in another room.

Me: Big sigh,”I’d rather not. Tell me what happened.”

“Regan James Heaton make a big big mess of his food! All over Mama’s clean table.” Followed by: “Regan James Heaton you in big big trouble. You make a big mess Mama’s kitchen!”

She was cracking me up with all the triple naming. He ate the hot dog, and the side of peas. Tossed the cheesy noodles EVERYWHERE!

So we owe Cole a HUMUMGO THANKS SO VERY VERY MUCH!!!! For sharing the info, so we could ask Regan’s Docs about it. We are all LOVING the bigger variety of foods in our house even if that means bigger messes. 🙂

What drug is it? Can you email me the info? Yes, I’m a pediatrician. No, I’m not aware of such a drug. Gavin is allergic to peanuts and eggs (although he can have stuff that has egg in it, just not whole egg), plus it would just be good to know to pass on to patients! Anyway, email me at jessikahwagner@gmail.com if you don’t mind! Thanks!!!
