So Regan didn’t finish his veggies tonight for dinner so the rest of us got to have our dessert and he didn’t.
We had Oreo cookie no bake dessert so Regan was going to get regular Oreos for his. All he needed to do was take one bite of his veggies but he is stubborn. Janice and I went to the bed room for some kid free time.
After a few minutes, Regan pokes his head in and locks our bedroom door. I think to myself, oh that’s nice; he’s giving us some time alone. Janice, who is much wiser than me said, “he’s totally getting into the snacks and doesn’t want us to know.”
Guess which one of us was right? Not 30 seconds later we hear a kitchen chair start to scoot across the floor. I got to give it to him, his logic was pretty sound except for not understanding how locks are directional and locking himself out of our room was not locking us in.
I decided I couldn’t let this one slide, so just as I walk into the kitchen, there is Regan with his hand literally reaching for the cookies. He’s now in timeout letting us know how hard his life is. 🙂
