Kaylee got a rock and gem dig from Aunt Jack’ee and Uncle Jason for her birthday. Goggles, hammer, chisel. This kept Kaylee and Regan entertained while the hunted for gems for over an hour.
Funny girl wanted to be swaddled when she was done with her dig.
Kaylee is 7!
You know it’s gonna be a great day when you start with a dance party.
And follow that up with your favorite breakfast of fresh blueberry pancakes and bacon.

Our little Squeeker is growing up into a beautiful little lady. This last year has been hard with making new friends as she watched all her old ones move on to a different grade, starting allergy shots, and becoming a foster sister. Not to mention Speech and Occupation therapy. It’s been a big tough year for her and she grew and rolled with the punches like a champ. I am amazed everyday by her persistence and spunk. Her general happy attitude and zest for life is fabulous and awe inspiring.
She loved that she and her Daddy were both wearing their soccer shirts.
These two. I love them so.
She of course had to break in her new tool box and check out everything in it. I can’t wait to see what great things she makes out in her work space. She’s already drawing up plans. We are thinking about getting her a drafting table for Christmas.
Daddy took her outside for her birthday photos. She was so excited to wear her new dress. SO SO SO excited.
What happened to my baby? I mean she just grew up way too fast!
She ended her day watching her new Chipetts movie and having a living room picnic eating Chinese pancakes.
I can’t even wrap my mind around the fact that she is SEVEN. It’s just so sad that the past few years have flown. I just want to push pause on life.
Kaylee and R
Kaylee has had a hard time trying to love this angry lost little boy. She is always asking us why he doesn’t like her when she just wants to love him. BUT she is doing great things. She is SUPER persistent and just doesn’t ever give up on things she wants. She wants him to be happy and love, so she just keeps hugging him and playing with him, and encouraging him. She is such a great example to me. This little boy has come such a long way, and I really think it’s mostly do to our sweet angel girl. She reminds me everyday to just breath and be patient with him. Which is challenging when I’m his favorite physical and emotional punching bag.
