Jon made this lumber rack. In the garage where he does all projects. For now. Plans are in the talks about fixing the workshop to be A WORKSHOP! Crazy talk I know.
It’s going to be great not having random bits of lumber around.
Regan was SO excited that I was able to go with him on his first field trip. First time being on a bus, first time going to the Rock Art Museum, first time seeing petroglyphs.

There were 18 kiddos and 5 adults. The bus was pretty much empty. Regan chose a set clear in the back. And I apparently have anxiety about being in a moving vehicle without a seat belt. I don’t love that. I am newly grateful that our kids don’t ride the bus to school.
He of course LOVED riding the bus.

We had a girls group and a boys group. I was with the boys because, well Regan is a boy. This was pretty much my view as I brought up the rear.

Regan guzzled his water about five minutes into the hike. And then later he took over mine. It was freaking 80 degrees. It’s NOVEMBER. Were were all over dressed. I was wishing for shorts by the end.
He grabbed the camera from around my neck to take a selfie.
They did a scavenger hunt for different pectroglyphs on the trail.

And they learned how to grind mesquite beans into flour.

Regan was SO hot and sweaty that he was itching and scratching like crazy. I had him put his hand on his head. He starts allergy shots on Tuesday. Poor kid.
When we were done with the hike we got to go inside. The boys all needed more water and a cool place to sit for a minute.
Stick a fork in him. He was SO done.
They got to peck on a rock to see how the pectroglyphs were made. That was awesome.

And then we all got to make our own pectrogylph on a clay disc to take home.

Regan really wanted to take my picture. He looked at it and called it perfect. 🙂
Aside from being hot, it was a great field trip. I’m so happy he’s not to cool for me yet. 🙂
About 8 or so months ago Regan started blowing Dandelion puffs. He would always get super happy whenever he would see a “wish” in the yard.
When I was deciding what art to make for the play area of the yard I HAD to make a giant “wish” for Regan, who also happens to LOVE Princess Bride. I mean, it was meant to be. Right?!

The first time Jon experienced pulling into the driveway with a “wish” in the yard was great. Regan you see looks in our yard while we are parking and if/when there is a “wish” he has to go blow it before coming inside.
“OH! Look guys! It’s a wish. I gotta go make my wish!”
If there is more than one he asks others to join in wish making fun.
Jon asked if I had ever taken a picture of Regan wishing on a puff. I hadn’t been able to get one due to the craziness of getting kids unloaded and into the house before meltdowns or bladders erupted. You know. LIFE. But also I take pictures ALL.THE.TIME. So it was just sad that I hadn’t got one of this yet.
So the other morning as Jon and the kids were headed out for school/work I hear Jon yell, “Don’t move!” Then he came back inside and grabbed the camera. Jon for the WIN!
BEST reason to run late ever. Also I have no idea what Regan wishes for. He might just really like blowing dandelion puffs… Either way it’s super cute and I am so happy to have photos of it.
