6 mo. WCC. (A.K.A shots)

Playing after shots, & in jammies ’cause I was sick of changing outfits.

Her new stats are as follows:
Weight 14 lbs 12 oz 20%
Height 25.5 in 33%

Head 16.75 in 47%

She always does great with her shots. She never crys for more than a minute. She does get the runs for a few days from the Rotavirus vaccine, but it’s better than the alternative. We are on our third outfit since the shots. 😉 She also got a book at this visit, & she loves books so she was all smiles for the doctor after he gave it to her. The doctor says she’s a beautiful healthy little girl. He was impressed with all of her skills. Her new favorite sounds are: hi, ya, ba, da (Jon’s fav.), go, ah, & doh. I’m still waiting for her to discover the ma’s. Oh well, I can wait. The doctor also says that she’s showing signs of teething. I’ve been a bit in denial about it (hoping it was still allergies). I’m sure I’ll live though it just like any other breastfeeding Mom. I was hoping it would take her longer to teeth, & I guess it still could. We aren’t doing solids (rice cereal) for another couple of months. We want to wait until allergy season is over so her body isn’t so bombarded. It’s nice that her doc. & I are in full agreement on when to start her on solids. Oh, & she’s starting to wear 3-6 mo. clothes. YEA!

Janice’s 25th B-day.

I had such an awesome b-day. Thanks to everyone who was able to come and help me eat some GLORIOUS food! My Mom and Abuela made the pupusas (yum), & my Dad had the most amazing cheesecake shipped out from a NY deli. Linda made the beans, cooked the meat, & made the sauce (yea Linda). Abuela said what she says every year. That this is the last year because next year she’ll be dead. I told her that I didn’t belive her, & Mom told her she shouldn’t make promises she can’t keep. 😉 Needless to say we had lots of fun in the kitchen. Anyway it was a fun weekend full of the most delicious food.

New friends.

The Relief Society in my ward does mini classes, & I signed up to teach rice & beans. So while I was teaching my class how to make Spanish rice & beans. Kaylee was making a new friend. Jon got to watch the girls play. Apparently Kaylee completely lost their wrestling match. Baby Brittany is 7 1/2 mo. old & has 3 older siblings. I got some cute photos of the girls playing. Jon was pretty impressed with how well Kaylee sits. I guess I need to be better at telling him when she does stuff. She’s been sitting well by herself for about a week now.

This photo just made me laugh. Jon got Kaylee ready for bed after everyone left, & her hair was just awesome from being in a pony all day. She has the best funky-licious hair. If we don’t get it brushed right out of the bath she ends up with what Aunt Deb calls old lady hair (you know the short perm do). It’s got some of my curl in it, so it can be a challenge. But we love it! Any way it takes shapes really well. This night she had a great Mohawk going. Also Jake had just called, so as is now usual she gets the phone.
