addiction

I have a new addiction… We bought our first box ever of Otter Pops. We got them for Kaylee. For her to have after her surgery. She much enjoys them any time we are Aunt Linda’s house so I knew she would be happy to have them after getting gutted. And she is enjoying them. But I did not foresee that they would be my new weakness… Jon says I have a problem. I agree. My one nightly Pop tends to turn into 3ish… And since I am already in bed and too tired and lazy to actually throw the wrappers away,… well my water glass is now an Otter Pop bouquet. The box is almost empty, and I don’t think I’ll be buying another. My nightstand is cluttered enough as it is.

she misses him

After doing her own hair Kaylee decided that Barry’s hair needed her spacial touch.

Papa and Yiayia came up for a visit. We were all happy to see them. Kaylee asked Yiayia, “Where Rarry?” So I told her what I always tell her when she asks where Barry is. That he is on a mission in Tennessee helping Jesus.

Regan James 6 months old

Weight: 13 lbs 11 oz 1.2%
Height: 26 in 28%
Head: 16.5 in 7%

Well, not so great today at Regan’s 6 month WCC. He was 13 lbs even at his 4 month WCC. So we are going in for a weight check in a month. (Didn’t I just finish going in for Kaylee’s monthly weight checks? Yup. Indeed I did. SIGH…) Last month our lovely pediatrician agreed that holding off on solids was a good idea due to a family history of food allergies. But clearly that plan is OUT. 11 oz in 2 months is NOT good. So in one month depending on his weight gain and reactions to different foods he may need some testing done. Our Doc. is being a bit more concerned with this issue since Kaylee has food allergies, and a cousin who is also seen by our Doc. just got an epinephrine pen because his food allergies are THAT severe. So although we waited to test Kaylee until she was 2, mister man may not be so lucky and get tested in a month. Regan is also to start up on Zyrtec. We are hoping that will help his eczema clear up. Otherwise he is a delightfully happy bundle of laughter and joy in our home. He is not as active as he should be because he is just so content to just be. Oh, and tonight when Jon gave him his very first feeding of rice cereal he LOVED it. Jon said he had 8-10 full baby spoonfuls of the stuff, and that was after I had nursed him.
