Kayleeism

This is her new thing. Yup. She likes to wear an eye mask on top of her head. It is also sometimes a gas mask (when watching Daddy spray paint) as well as being a regular cover your eyes eye mask. Monkey see Monkey do. And Miss has seen Yaiyai wear this guy around our house when she visits. So it’s the new cool thing to do. She can’t lay down with out it.

Fun (and not so much fun) things to remember about Kaylee this month:

~You have been going straight to melt down when you need/want something. You sound as if you have been seriously injured because I didn’t psychically know you NEEDED milk. We have to pry the “pleases” out of you.

~We always get a, “Thank you.” But even better you almost always say, “Thank you VERY much!” Which sort of makes up for the fits. Sort of….

~You have taken over your own discipline. You will count to three and then spank your own tush. (seriously!) We are looking into different methods. You know for those occasions when a time out is not cutting it.

~You love to exercise with Mama. (pretty cute watching her zumba)

~You have been camping out in the living room at night after scripture and prayer to watch a princess/toy story/shrek movie. Not sure it’s the best habit, but you are a night owl (like your Mama) and so it provides Mama and Daddy some Kaylee free adult conversation/show watching time.

~You are starting to be a bit of a picky eater. grrrrrr. When I say bit. I mean bit. It’s not bad. Just new, and occasionally frustrating.

~Still just so loving. And SO loved.

Thanksgiving 2010

Wednesday while Jon and I went to a movie with friends Kaylee threw a Kaylee fit. Papa and Sam where watching the children for us. My awesome Dad took pictures before moving her to the couch. (I so would have done the same!)

Apparently she got VERY mad when Sam couldn’t understand her whining fit demanding yogurt. And then when Sam and Dad FINALLY deciphered her tantrum, they had to break the news that there was no yogurt.

More unreasonable yelling and fit throwing ensued.

They finally got her to settle with eating a banana. And as soon as she finished it she curled up on the bar stool and passed out.

What a lovely way to start our Thanksgiving break. Meanwhile Jon and I had an awesome time out to the movies. (Harry Potter if you where wondering.)

She was MUCH better the next day. So excited to be with some of her favorite people. And SO excited for her Daddy made pie.

I made the turkey. It was awesomely falling off the bones when we removed it from the oven. SO yummy. This year was by far our smallest Thanksgiving EVER! It was still lovely.

We three girls went out shopping to hit some of the deals. Kaylee LOVES shopping. Mom even treated us to sushi! Kaylee is a big fan of shrimp.

The children had good times with Papa (no pictures since he was always behind the camera) and their Yaiyai/Babushka.

We ended our 5 day 4 night adventure by going to cousin Ben’s homecoming. It was SO wonderful to see him. I just wish my children were not so ridiculously crabby that day. It’s crazy how fast 2 years goes. Kaylee was 8 months old the last time we saw Ben. And now he’s home with a sweet accent.
