Heading to Utah

After getting back to the school from Kaylee’s field trip we picked up Regan and headed out of town. We were hoping to be on the road by 3:30. We were on the road by 3:15! That NEVER happens.

The kids had their books and stuff to keep occupied until the sun went down. We are pretty lucky that they are so great on road trips. IMG_2225

They were watching Rapunzel and needed long hair. They thought they were hysterical. IMG_2226We got to St. George at about 10:30. Then a quick shower and snuggle before bed. They were educating Yiayai on all thing Ninjago. It’s gonna be a fun Thanksgiving break!

It cracks me up how my Mom makes the kids look extra white. 😉

Thanksgiving 2014

Josh and Emily hosted Thanksgiving this year. It was a last shindig in Joshily reno house before they move an hour east of us. BOO! We are SO going to miss them being just five minutes away.
IMG_0961Papa was happy to hold little miss as much a possible. Smitten. We are all smitten with that baby.IMG_0962

And this sister here, well she announced that she’s prego with a little dude! WHAT!? I asked her just a week ago if they were having any luck and she was all “lets change the subject”. Stinker. I thought they were still having problems in that area and let the sensitive subject go.IMG_0976But no. She just wanted to wait until most of us were together to share her news in person. So it’s a happy sad holiday this year. Family is moving (not far, but still), and a newbie is coming soon.

Thanksgiving 2013

We had our first just us Thanksgiving. It was nice and quiet. Different, but good.

We tried watching the Space X launch, but it was sadly aborted.

We made three pies from scratch. You know so the kids could enjoy some allergy friendly goodness.

I got some mini pie pumpkins and did the whole shebang. Oh, my yummy worth the extra work goodness!

Regan didn't like the pumpkin, and rrefused to try the apple. Kaylee loved both apple and pumpkin.

We used soy milk to make a chocolate pudding pie, but since it was made with soy it didn't want to set up. So the kids ended our dessert extravaganza by drinking the chocolate pie.
