Les’t go fly a kite.

We went on an outing Friday night. The Phoenix Temple is being built just a short five minute drive from our house so we took the children to see the progress.

We put them on top of the car for a better view.  Regan did not approve. Kaylee thought it was great fun.

Regan liked this method MUCH better.

It’s going to be so pretty, and SO close. We feel super blessed to live just down the road.

After visiting the Temple build we headed out to the R.C. flight range place. They were closed, but that’s o.k. we had Kaylee’s kite to fly.

She bought this bad boy with her own money. She was quite proud of her purchase.

Regan had fun just watching Daddy and Kaylee fly her kite.

She did so great. I was really impressed with how long and well she kept the kite up.

cousins

We’ve been enjoying TONS of extra cousin time the last few weeks while Shannon took a math class. It was actually perfect. The copusin’s would get dropped off before 9 and my two would have awesome entertainment until noon. Then Regan would go down for a nap after lunch, Kaylee would watch a movie, and I would really only have to bee an active Mom for twoish hours (after nap) before the boys would come home and send me off to bed.
I got sent to bed lots while recovering from the pneumonia. LOTS. I was actually quiet pathetic.
This last week I finally had enough energy to do more than lay on the couch and randomly yell (to be herd above the fun) at the children to play nice and share. Randomly as in just prevention. This last week we actually DID stuff. I pulled out leftover craft supplies from our Heaton reunion last summer. These four hardly left the table for our last two cousin days. I am planning on buying more craft day supplies. I forgot how much fun doing kid crafts are.

shoping

Last weekend Shannon hauled my sorry bum out to the mall.  I ended up using my inhaler more and also less than I wanted to (needed to RUN Regan to a toilet).  We have felt so cooped up the last few weeks while my lungs have been on the SLOW mend.So this outing was much needed.

The children did well.  I was pleased.

I brought some snacks to help prevent whining.

There was a fun play place in the mall where we ended our shopping adventure.

The children had a blast being able to FINALLY run wild.

Cuties pies. All of them!

There was only one crabby pants just at the end of our adventure. Not too shabby for almost three hours of shopping with six children. I think we will be brave enough to go on another shopping trip with all the kiddos again.
I do have to say that I am SO SO much better. It’s been about a week since my last inhaler hit. Doc did say it would take a month or more for my lungs to feel “normal”. I am just happy to be breathing easy again.
