Regan turned 6!!!!

My little dude turned 6. We had his Star Wars themed party on Saturday and went out to eat tonight.

We played pin the tie fighter on the Death Star.IMG_1625 IMG_1629 IMG_1630

He requested a Darth Vader pinata. IMG_1631

And Purple cupcakes with Green and Red frosting. He wanted his cupcakes to have all the light saber colors, so he picked the blue stripped liners too. IMG_1632

Uncle Josh brought all his light sabers and the party was mostly just one giant light saber fight.IMG_1635 IMG_1640 IMG_1642 IMG_1663 IMG_1674 IMG_1681 IMG_1683 IMG_1689 IMG_1691 IMG_1704 IMG_1708 IMG_1709 IMG_1711

I just love this little dude of mine so freaking much!IMG_1713 IMG_1715 IMG_1731 IMG_1743 IMG_1750 IMG_1752 IMG_1756 IMG_1758 IMG_1760 IMG_1762 IMG_1771 IMG_1773 IMG_1782 IMG_1783 IMG_1808

He reads his new character book daily. Jodi did awesome when she pick that out for him. He LOVES it.IMG_1817 IMG_1821 IMG_1831 IMG_1836 IMG_1841Jack’ee and Jason got him an air hockey table. They told me it was a mini one when they called to see if that was okay. I herd mini and thought it was the size of their pool table. Can you see the kids pool table underneath. Green box. Ya, I thought it would be little and cute like the pool table. So I said yeas.

I told them they need to reevaluate their definition of the word “mini.” Kaylee and Regan played on it all weekend. IMG_1844 IMG_1848

Monday morning was interesting. Regan was SO excited to be six. And to pick out a restaurant to eat at for dinner.IMG_1851 IMG_1853

Kaylee “I can’t believe my baby brother is growing up! I want him to be little FOREVER!”IMG_1854She was a wreck all day. ALL.DAY. She locked herself in the dance studio bathroom before class to “get all the tears out” so she wouldn’t cry during dinner.  It was pretty funny/sad.IMG_1855 IMG_1857

Regan chose Red Robin. It’s his favorite.

We only had one mini melt down from Kaylee trying to live in denial that her brother is growing up. She did a pretty great job of pulling herself together. And Regan is use to her birthday tears. This last year she had extra siblings to cry over. So thankfully it didn’t phase him or ruin his day. He gave her extra hugs and told her it would be okay several times today.IMG_1861It was a fun night out with the family celebrating our favorite Regan James in the world.IMG_1859

Stats from his WCC on 11/20/2015:

Height: 3’10.5″

Weight: 36 lb 6.4 oz

Regan’s 1st field trip

Regan was SO excited that I was able to go with him on his first field trip. First time being on a bus, first time going to the Rock Art Museum, first time seeing petroglyphs.
IMG_1567 IMG_1568

There were 18 kiddos and 5 adults. The bus was pretty much empty. Regan chose a set clear in the back. And I apparently have anxiety about being in a moving vehicle without a seat belt. I don’t love that. I am newly grateful that our kids don’t ride the bus to school. IMG_1569

He of course LOVED riding the bus. IMG_1570 IMG_1571

We had a girls group and a boys group. I was with the boys because, well Regan is a boy. This was pretty much my view as I brought up the rear.IMG_1573 IMG_1577

Regan guzzled his water about five minutes into the hike. And then later he took over mine. It was freaking 80 degrees. It’s NOVEMBER. Were were all over dressed. I was wishing for shorts by the end.IMG_1579

He grabbed the camera from around my neck to take a selfie.

IMG_1581 IMG_1582 IMG_1583 IMG_1585

They did a scavenger hunt for different pectroglyphs on the trail.IMG_1586 IMG_1588 IMG_1592

And they learned how to grind mesquite beans into flour.IMG_1594 IMG_1595 IMG_1596 IMG_1597

Regan was SO hot and sweaty that he was itching and scratching like crazy. I had him put his hand on his head. He starts allergy shots on Tuesday. Poor kid.IMG_1605

When we were done with the hike we got to go inside. The boys all needed more water and a cool place to sit for a minute.IMG_1606

Stick a fork in him. He was SO done.IMG_1608

So done.  HAhaha! IMG_1609

They got to peck on a rock to see how the pectroglyphs were made. That was awesome.IMG_1610 IMG_1611

And then we all got to make our own pectrogylph on a clay disc to take home.IMG_1612 IMG_1613

Regan really wanted to take my picture. He looked at it and called it perfect. 🙂IMG_1615Aside from being hot, it was a great field trip. I’m so happy he’s not to cool for me yet. 🙂

Reganism: Wishes

About 8 or so months ago Regan started blowing Dandelion puffs. He would always get super happy whenever he would see a “wish” in the yard.

When I was deciding what art to make for the play area of the yard I HAD to make a giant “wish” for Regan, who also happens to LOVE Princess Bride. I mean, it was meant to be. Right?!
IMG_0587

The first time Jon experienced pulling into the driveway with a “wish” in the yard was great. Regan you see looks in our yard while we are parking and if/when there is a “wish” he has to go blow it before coming inside.

“OH! Look guys! It’s a wish. I gotta go make my wish!”

If there is more than one he asks others to join in wish making fun.

IMG_1539

Jon asked if I had ever taken a picture of Regan wishing on a puff. I hadn’t been able to get one due to the craziness of getting kids unloaded and into the house before meltdowns or bladders erupted. You know. LIFE. But also I take pictures ALL.THE.TIME. So it was just sad that I hadn’t got one of this yet.

IMG_1540So the other morning as Jon and the kids were headed out for school/work I hear Jon yell, “Don’t move!” Then he came back inside and grabbed the camera. Jon for the WIN!

BEST reason to run late ever. Also I have no idea what Regan wishes for. He might just really like blowing dandelion puffs… Either way it’s super cute and I am so happy to have photos of it.
