Building robots

Kaylee got this great little robot from her buddy Becca for her birthday. She was SO excited when Jon finally had time to help her read the instructions and build it. She used all her new tools. <3

She has named her robot Bobby the Brush Bot. They tricked him out with lights also.She cannot wait to build another robot. She’s drawing up blueprints now. 🙂 I just love that she loves this kind of stuff and has a Dad who can help her dive into it. Especially because her Mama is kinda useless in this department.

She and Jon are watching this chick on youtube teaching about circuit boards and stuff. It goes right over my head, but Kaylee is glued and in awe. 🙂

Patio pour

These photo were taken over the course of a VERY long and painful 6 days. This project was started on day 4 of Kaylee's spring break 2014. So that means that the last two days of her break were spend watching us work. BUT It is SO nice to walk out to the garbage bins and work shop now. I cannot wait to build my table and pergola. SO excited!

We tend to do a lot of mid project thinking while swinging.

We decided that we needed a few extra hand for the day to get everything dug out and framed up.

I lifted/moved 8,000 lbs of concrete bags. SO sore. So happy. So worth it!

tree hair cut

Regan was loving the back yard stump hole. Kaylee was freaking out that her Daddy was killing her tree. I had to repeatedly tell her it was just a tree hair cut.

I was freaking out having inner thoughts and visions of blood and mayhem. BUT our poor formerly only tree was way past due for a through trimming.

All the dead is gone and ready for spring growth. Fingers crossed. It's very sad looking right now.
