Regan was so excited about soccer today. Usually he gripes about not wanting to do soccer. Then once we are at practice he LOVES it. So is happy attitude from the beginning was nice today.

 

 

These two. I just really am so grateful that they like each other. They are such great buddies.

 

 

 

It was "so hot I'm gonna die MOM!" outside. So she ever so dramatically laid down to rest.

It was worth it. They had fun and it was great to watch them learn new skills.

Kaylee 12 days post op decided she had had ENOUGH of a sedentary lifestyle and was going to soccer practice. And that was that.

 

I was cringing for her the whole time and reminding her to take it easy, not to run full out, and checking her bandage.

They had their first scrimmage today. She was thrilled.

She did amazing, and had a blast.

Regan did not have a ton of fun last Saturday. He pooped out fast and declared that he didn't like soccer. So getting him to the park today was kinda tough. Especially since Kaylee couldn't participate. She was excited to go and cheer her brother and friends on. That excitement quickly dwindled and she was board and feeling left out. Meanwhile Regan decided that soccer was fun and that it was for him.

 

 

Kaylee was happy with her chair and sunbrella for about the first five minutes of the hour long soccer session. Then she came onto the field and tried to do a few things before her body painfully reminded her (she just didn't believe me that it would hurt.) that she just had major surgery and REALLY needed to be sitting. Being sedentary is tough for this girl.

 

 

They learned lots of new skill today. They also did some fun drills.

 

Regan and his buddy Gillian were so focused and poor Kaylee just REALLY wanted to be out there with them.

Regan is excited for next Saturday. Kaylee more so. She will likely be able to get out there and do a few things. It really is amazing how quickly children heal!
