Cabela’s

When the boys went to Cabela’s for camping supplies Jon saw and eyed an AWESOME french fry cutter.

He came home without it and then wished for weeks that he had bought it.

SO we took the children on a little adventure to Cabela’s to pick up the french fry cutter. They had lots of fun running around looking at everything. It’s a fun place to just walk around and look at all their stuffed animals and giant fish tank.

Reganism

We had just finished pre-school, and the children were still working on their letter art project for the day. So I decided to put on some tunes while I cleaned the kitchen. I had just the other day found my box in the attic that had my CD’s in it. So I decided to pop in some Il Devo. Kaylee and I enjoyed listening to it in Utah, but it’s been about a year. I am pretty sure Regan doen’t remember it from Utah anyway, so it was brand new to him.
He LOVES LOVES LOVES it! Oh, my goodness. It was so funny/awesome how fast he RAN into the kitchen to start opera singing and gesturing. Kid has NEVER seen opera before, but that didn’t stop him from knowing and doing all the right moves.
Kaykee joined him when she herd the camera going, and then his facial expressions really  intensified!

Moments like this make me so happy that I am a nut and keep my camera out and near by. Who knows maybe someday he will be a famouse opera singer…

29

I normally don’t really care much about getting older. This year though I found myself feeling sad. It took me a while to figure out why. For some silly reason I had always planned on having all my kids by the time I turned 30. I thought for sure I would have at least four children.
Well that’s not going to happen. Plans change. I am 29 years old and not even certified to adopt. Never mind having a birth mom pick us for her child. And that’s o.k.
I have decided that even though it makes me sad that growing my family is not as easy as I would like it to be, I am going to just be happy.
I am so ridiculously blessed. Not only do I have the privilege of being a Mother, I get to experience the joys of raising a girl AND a boy.
So I am going to try to wonder a bit less about my mystery children and just thoroughly soak up the experience of being a Mom to two.  And if I am not meant to Mother more than two I will still count my self doubly blessed.
These two are my biggest joys.  Just look at Kaylee’s litter cheekers!  I am surrounded by cuteness.
Jon totally surprised me. I decided to go to the library with Kaylee while Jon cooked dinner. I came home to a decorated house! VERY unexpected, but SO fun. I had a great day home with my kiddos, and then a lovely night hanging out with my little family.
