Kayleeism

Kaylee was painting her nails during a Regan nap. I was painting a Barbie doll (Say no to naked barbies. Nail polish a bathing suit on them!). We do this often. It’s part of our “Just the girls, not the boys!” activities.

Kaylee got some nail polish on her skin and said, “Clean up on aisle 2!”
Mama, “Did you just say clean up on aisle 2?”
Kayee, “Ya. I am just so silly!”

So here are some silly pictures of little miss.

And then we both started laughing. And laughing.

“Mom wait. I need my pirate hat!” If you look close you can see the patch flipped up on his head. He has taken over Kaylee’s gear from Peter Pan. He even sleeps with the patch and hat.

After this one I told Kaylee she looked sad. Regan said, “Kaylee, be a happy face picture!”

We enjoyed having Uncle Josh home today. The kiddos got lots of snuggle time in, and i got TONS done around the house.

At the lunch table eating sandwiches we had some funny conversations.

Uncle Josh was teasing Regan saying that he was so hungry if Regan didn’t eat his sandwich that he (Josh) was going to eat it. And then he said he was so hungry he wondered what Regan tasted like.

Regan said that he tasted like chicken.

Uncle Josh then asked Kaylee if he could eat her and asked what she tasted like. If she tasted like chicken too.

Kaylee, “I don’t taste like chicken. I taste like Spinach!”

We thought is was a VERY good answer if you don’t want to be gobbled up.

Hope everyone else had a lovely Martin Luther King Jr. day.

worlds biggest cracker

I forgot I took these photos of Kaylee waiting for Emily to take her to Peter Pan. She was quite excited to get all fancy AND get to wear her Tinker Bell dress-up. Regan wanted in on the photo action when he saw me snapping away.

Please note that the children are about the same height. We are getting more “Oh, what cute twins!” comments everyday. From strangers in passing of course. So I generally just smile, say thanks and keep on going about by business.

After the play we met up with Kaylee and Emily (and her family) for dinner. It was a lovely evening and we enjoyed getting to know Emily’s clan. They are super nice.
Regan enjoyed the world’s largest cracker. I swear that thing was equal to half a sleeve of saltines!

Oh, and this was the children’s first experience dinning Al Fresco. So I of course had to get a sub par photo as evidence of the event. 😉
