Kaylee Party: part 1

THE DECORATIONS.

We went with a Scooby Do theme for her party this year. Can I just say how much I LOVE pinterest. I got tons of cute ideas for her party from other people sharing.

By far my best pinata! Oh, man this thing was AWESOME!

I made it two sided! AHHHH! LOVED IT!

Her egg free, dairy free,Chocolate, Chocolate Chip, marshmallow topped cupcakes. YUM-O!

Pin the tail on Scooby-Do. I (Jon) printed engineer blueprints in black and white and then I colored them in myself. It was like a giant coloring page project. 🙂

The Gang. I am so bummed that we forgot to take the clock off the wall. I had it off, but it tripped us out, and since I put up the decor a few days before party day we decided to put it back up until the party. And then forgot about it being there…. Lame.

Giant spirals made from poster board, and punch balloons hung on fishing wire. Fun, festive, inexpensive, and EASY!

We had a scavenger hunt for her party. The kids had to find the clues and solve the mystery. Kaylee (and all the kids) thought this was SO fun.

Rocking Chair

Grandad (Jon’s Grandpa) is putting together these super cute rocking chairs for the families. We lucked out and got to bring the first one home with us! Carly (Jon’s cute cousin) had painted our family name on it. We LOVE this rocking chair SO much.

She is shushing and rocking her (my old) Monchichi.

The children take turns using it all day long while playing. Before we got this little rocking chair I had been toying around with finding one for them. A friend has one, and Kaylee loved it at her house, and I knew Regan would love it too.

I am so glad I didn’t find one I liked because having one put together by their GreatGrandad is just so much better!

helping Dad

They love helping us around the house. This night they helped Jon unload his Costco run. I deviate from the list while at Costco, It’s safer for Jon to go solo.

Two boxes down the hall to their room. It’s about a year supply of night time diapers for the boy. He probably wont use them all. We hope.

Regan is a DEEP sleeper. There is no waking that kid up once he is out. We are talking dead to the world.

In fact this last Christmas while we were in Utah Dwayne didn’t believe me. So he supermanned onto the bed Regan was sleeping on to see what would happen. Regan caught air, rolled over and slept on. It was awesome!

SO we use a night diaper because it’s just easier than midnight bed changes and cheaper than pull-ups.
