This last weekend was really fun. We had planned to spend time helping our friends Matt & Angie, but Jack’ee called (late Fri. night) & informed us of a surprise visit. So our morning was spent at the LeFevre’s, & Kaylee & I spent the afternoon & evening with Jack’ee at my parents house. Jon stayed with Matt to finish their bathroom addition (it looks so good). My hair was in desperate need of a good cutting, so while my hairstylist (Jack’ee) was in town I got a new do. Jack’ee had to cut half of it off just to get a brush through it. Anyway I think I lost 10 lbs. just by getting a hair cut. I was very happy to say goodbye to the rats nest. It took Kaylee a few days to get use to it (it was sort of funny). It was so nice to see Jack’ee even for a short visit. The last time we saw her was about four months ago. Kaylee has changed so much since then. Having Jack’ee visit reminded me how much Kaylee has grown. She’s a little person now. Oh & can I just point out that Jack’ee never gets to see the sun working graveyard, & I go on walks with Kaylee everyday, & I’m still pasty white (even with makeup) next to my sister. It’s no wonder Jon didn’t believe she was my sis. when I introduced them that fist time. He was expecting a white girl that looked like me. Arn’t genetics fun. 🙂 We are all so excited for January to see Auntie Jack’ee again.

6 mo. WCC. (A.K.A shots)
Her new stats are as follows:
Weight 14 lbs 12 oz 20%
Height 25.5 in 33%
Head 16.75 in 47%
She always does great with her shots. She never crys for more than a minute. She does get the runs for a few days from the Rotavirus vaccine, but it’s better than the alternative. We are on our third outfit since the shots. 😉 She also got a book at this visit, & she loves books so she was all smiles for the doctor after he gave it to her. The doctor says she’s a beautiful healthy little girl. He was impressed with all of her skills. Her new favorite sounds are: hi, ya, ba, da (Jon’s fav.), go, ah, & doh. I’m still waiting for her to discover the ma’s. Oh well, I can wait. The doctor also says that she’s showing signs of teething. I’ve been a bit in denial about it (hoping it was still allergies). I’m sure I’ll live though it just like any other breastfeeding Mom. I was hoping it would take her longer to teeth, & I guess it still could. We aren’t doing solids (rice cereal) for another couple of months. We want to wait until allergy season is over so her body isn’t so bombarded. It’s nice that her doc. & I are in full agreement on when to start her on solids. Oh, & she’s starting to wear 3-6 mo. clothes. YEA!
Janice’s 25th B-day.
I had such an awesome b-day. Thanks to everyone who was able to come and help me eat some GLORIOUS food! My Mom and Abuela made the pupusas (yum), & my Dad had the most amazing cheesecake shipped out from a NY deli. Linda made the beans, cooked the meat, & made the sauce (yea Linda). Abuela said what she says every year. That this is the last year because next year she’ll be dead. I told her that I didn’t belive her, & Mom told her she shouldn’t make promises she can’t keep. 😉 Needless to say we had lots of fun in the kitchen. Anyway it was a fun weekend full of the most delicious food.
