HOLEY MOLEY!

Kaylee stayed up with everyone to ring in the New Year. I was pleasantly surprised that she made it with only hungry fussing (and not much of that), not any tired fussing. She had so much fun playing and interacting with everyone, that she didn’t even want to nap. We as always had an awesome time at Jaime and Linda’s. They sure know how to throw a party. Food, games, laughter, and TONS of fun! I have two thing to say…SCONES & KEY LIME PIE! Woo Hoo.

Kaylee in her car seat at about 12:30 am. She was ready to keep playing. Just a little wired with excitement. And yes we payed the price for messing with her schedule, but it was worth it. 😉

9 months old today.

New stats:
weight: 16 lbs. 6 oz. 12%
height: 27.25 in 40%
head: 17 in 27%

We can’t believe that in three short months Kaylee will have her first birthday. It amazes me everyday how much she learns and grows, and how fast these last months have gone bye. She has many new sounds, her favorite is still Dad. Jon loves it, and she will say Mom, but only when she is really upset and really wants me NOW. 🙂 She has learned how to crawl, pull herself up to and walk along furniture (or us), and wave hello and goodbye when asked. She loves saying Hi Dad, and uh oh (mostly in the right context). She shakes her head no when she wants Eskimo kisses (a.k.a nosers). She thinks it’s funny to say Dad when I ask her to say Mom. She usually shakes her head no smiles, and then says DAD. I swear she knows exactly what she’s doing. She will chase me down while yelling at me to let me know that she doesn’t approve of being left behind. She much prefers walking to crawling, so we hear about it when we make her crawl. She certainly has a personality. And although she doesn’t squeek like a mouse nearly as much while sleeping we still affectionately call her Squeeker, (she answers to Kaylee or Squeeker). Happy 9 months baby girl. We love you and wouldn’t change a thing about you.

Well it’s time to lower the mattress.

Kaylee had a great first Christmas. It was full of family, friends, & lots of great food she couldn’t eat. Next year she’ll get Aunt Linda’s yummy scones, & maybe share sushi with Mommy. Thanks to everyone for the the awesome memories.
