Thanksgiving weekend 2009

We had my family over to our house for Thanksgiving. It was lots of fun. Sam did all the cooking & cleaning up. So it really was quite relaxing as far as hosting goes. Dinner was awesome! Sam did such an amazing job. Mom & Sam left Thanksgiving night, & Dad & Barry stayed up for another day. Our best friend Angie stopped by with her newest addition so we could see him. We got some cute photos of the boys. It was her first time seeing Regan as well. Greyson was 10 weeks old & Regan 10 days old in these photos. It doesn’t look like there is a big size difference, but there really is. Our friend Mckay came over on Friday for some computer help, & helped the boys get the outside lights up. Enjoy the random photos of our holiday weekend. Hope everyone had a great thanksgiving.

We are still trying to decide what color Regan’s hair is. We are leaning towards auburn. It’s very red when freshly washed & depending on the lighting. Other times it’s quite dark… so we will just have to see in the months & years to come what happens with his hair color.

home :)

We got home at 11:30 pm last night. Jon just had to show Kaylee her baby brother. He was so funny. Just kept saying, “We have TWO kids.” We took Regan to the docs today since he decided to rash out, not eat, and have a very mild fever. He’s fine and we just turned what I thought would be a sick visit into his first WCC. Guess it’s a rash 1 out of 5 newborns get. No big deal. He has also in the last several hours decided that eating is good. Today he weighed in at 6 lbs. 1 oz. and measured 19 inches. They think that the hospital nurses didn’t stretch him out all the way. So here are some photos and a couple of videos of our first day…

Jon trying to wake Kaylee up. It was about 12:00 am…

Me and my sleeping babies. About 12:10 am.

8:00 am after a LONG night.

Kaylee holding her baby for the first time.

She LOVES him. Not really jealous, and gets upset when she cannot hold him.

Regan’s first outfit.
Says, “When God created me he was just showing off.”

My silly girl. She figured out last week how to get in and out of the swing by herself. And yes she’s holding Regan’s Binky. She really likes shoving it in his mouth.

The little man. My Dad took this photo and I just love it. My sweet Daddy has been awesome helping me with whatever I needed today. He will be here all day tomorrow then back this weekend. Barry and possibly my Mom are coming Friday. Everyone will be here for the weekend which has become the norm over the last month. It’s so nice have transitional help. I know it’s made it easier on Kaylee which makes it easier for me.

Holding Regan all by herself. She was very proud if you cannot tell by her pleased smile. I had just got back with Regan and she was way more excited that he was back home than that I was back. I am pleased with how well she’s doing with sharing me and loving Regan.

Kissing her baby.

Ahh… he loves her too.

Daddy’s home! Regan was a bit cold so this was Jon’s quick fix. They looked so cute I had to get a couple of pictures. This little boy is all his Daddy’s son. They look so much a like and so far Regan is very laid back and mellow (especially compared to newborn Kaylee) just like Jon.

Videos taken by the Papa (aka Grandpa, aka Janice’s Dad).
The funny lip quiver. He doesn’t get too much louder than this. His cry couldn’t be more different than Kaylee’s. The second video is of him snoring. Both our kiddos snore like their Daddy. Good thing I have LOTS of earplugs. 🙂

Halloween 2009

My Dad, Barry and Sam came up for Halloween. We had such a nice day. And Kaylee had fun going trick-or-treating with Sam, Barry, Papa, and Yaya. Jon was sweet and stayed home with me.

We got the pumpkins last weekend to carve, but do to Jon getting sick the carving didn’t happen until Halloween afternoon. It was lots of fun, and I was even allowed to finish Barry’s while he was out trick-or-treating with everyone.

I love how Sam’s hair turned out. I wasn’t able to get the front a big as I wanted because she has bangs, but really loved the finished project. It’s amazing what you can do with bobby pins and hair spray! It was so much fun being able to do Halloween hair and makeup for Kaylee and Sam. It really made not being able to got out with them easier as I still felt involved.

Kaylee was being such a ham. I tried so hard to get a good picture of the font of her, but since I’m stationary and she’s a mover… well you get the gist of her cuteness. I love how her $3 costume turned out. I spent a day making her tutu and think it’s great for a first attempt.

Barry got to wear Jon’s pirate costume as Jon stayed home with me. Barry was so great to pose for me. Jon did the EEK with the spider and Barry did the Moon with the Bat. The pumpkins looked so much better than I thought they would. Jon stuck tons of tea lights in both of them to really make the carvings awesome. Next year we plan to have carving knives and do some super fancy pumpkins. It was hard to do the little details with kitchen knives. The boys did a really amazing job with their limited tools.

After everyone got back from trick-or-treating and candy sorting Kaylee decided to tackle Uncle Barry and steal part of his costume. She was so funny brandishing the sword around. I wish I could have gotten better pictures, but you do what you can being stuck in one spot. Meanwhile I get to stop taking the Terbutaline on Sunday! So we are officially in countdown mode at our house. The day after I stopped the Terbutaline with Kaylee we went to the hospital to have her. After my appointment yesterday I suddenly felt VERY short on time. It’s so funny how it feels like forever, and then suddenly you realize you could use more time to get things ready. Oh, well we are very excited that the end is near.
