Jon got himself an RC plane. We were/are very excited about it. Lots of family fun. Here are photos of when it arrived, and it’s maiden flight.
It was fun. Hopefully Jon will be able to fly his new toy again soon.

My Dad called a couple of weeks before Christmas to let us know that He and Mom were no longer going to come down for Christmas. My Grandpa’s health took a turn for the worse and they wanted to spend as much time with him as possible.
So my sweet hubby said we could go to Utah for Christmas so I could say goodbye to my Grandpa.
It was nice being in St. George for Christmas and getting to do all our old traditions.
Christmas morning we got to Skype with Barry before opening gifts. It was great to see/hear him.
Grandpa didn’t want us to leave, but we had to. It made for an extra sad goodbye. Love this man to pieces!
Christmas evening we to see Jon’s parents (In their new house where we spent the night). They spoiled us as they usually do. It was great being able to visit with them.
They had cute tree ornaments for the children.
With a money surprise inside.
It took a bit, but Jon and I got their money out.
Mom set the children up with their first Christmas claymation movie.
Grandpa joined them. I LOVE how Kaylee and Grandpa are making the same face and oblivious to my picture taking.
Regan looked super cute in Grandpa’s glasses.
The next morning we sent the children out to play while Jon helped Dad out with a few things.
And play they did. And chat Mom and I did. 🙂
“King” Regan helping Daddy with the sprinklers.
Then crashed HARD after all the work. The chair to car transfer went better than anticipated and he napped on.
That night (day after Christmas) when we got home I made Jon open his presents.
My tummy is SUPER excited about his new moose making gear, my hips not so much….
Jon’s Aunt and Uncle got us a way cute sign. That Kaylee opened for us. We told her everything else needed to wait until the next night when Daddy got home from work. Also Regan was out for the night and missed out, so we wanted to do the rest as a family.
We let them open our family gift before Jon left for work the next morning. They were you know just a tad excited about it. 🙂
So 2 days after Christmas we got around to open our few remaining gifts, and stockings.
The next day during Regan’s nap I let Kaylee crack open her makeup (Santa is so nice. My makeup is now safeish…).

Then just 2 weekends ago we made it out to Jack’ee and Jason’s house to give them their from Utah gifts, and have the children open up the gifts from Jack’ee and Jason.
I was amused that the children beelined to the dog bed to sit.
Jack’ee or Jason had Jon this year. Don’t remember who…. Anyway Jack’ee asked what she should get him. So I told her he’s been wanted glass baking cups so he can make molten lava cakes. He was pretty excited.
Jason was so cute. He said he was standing in line on black Friday and just stared picking stuff out for the children. He totally spoiled them. They LOVE their new etch-a-sketches and mini learning laptops.
Regan and Jason tossed his new/first football around for a bit.
Then the children spent time trying to figure out Kaylee’s laptop.
Before leaving we headed outside to see Jack’ee and Jason’s new toys in action.
Several weeks ago we went to a park to take photos of the Day family. After we were done the children all ran around playing.
These girls crack me up. DRAMA Queens! But oh so sweet with each other. When I saw them doing this (Kaylee was scared to cross this bridge by herself so Becca gave her a lift. It’s several feet up.) I got a bit nervous. Although the bridge had a net Dwayne and I put a stop to it.
Later in the car I thought “Man it would have been nice to get a photo of the crazy…”
Not to worry Jon had seen, encouraged, and photographed it well before the rest of us even knew what was going on.
“I was right there to catch them the first time across. Becca did fine so I didn’t worry about it.”
Good to know.
Anyway we have been having a blast with family since being down here. I LOVE that the children are getting to know their cousins better. And being able to have sister time with sisters I didn’t get to see often before is the best!
Kaylee Update: So about a week ago we took Kaylee in to get tested for a UTI. (Yup. AGAIN….) Poor kiddo not only had ANOTHER UTI, but she also had an ear infection. Sad day. Also it was before we had found a pediatrician so we took her to the E.R.
The hospital Jon works for has a pediatric E.R. Mendy’s Place (said like Mindy). So that’s where we went. BEST E.R. experience EVER. It was SO SO SO nice. Neatest E.R. I’ve ever been to. She LOVED it.
We may have to take her to see a urologist….
Regan Update: So yesterday afternoon we met Regan’s new G.I. Dr. Very nice man. Wants to try experimenting with slowly introducing Regan’s allergen foods back into his diet to see what happens.
He wants us to start with wheat. So this morning I gave Regan a poptart (not healthy. but So yummy). He was in heaven. I am to call and chat with Dr. K in a week to decided if we are starting a new food or backtracking to no allergen foods.
I told Jon we need to go get a couple boxes of diapers from Costco ASAP. I hope Dr. K. is right and that things will go well and we will be able to just feed Regan “normal” food. We shall see though.
Kayleeism: So while we waiting for the Dr. to come into the exam room Regan was being super cute.
Kaylee,”Mama where’s a camera. We needa takea picture of Regan James.”
Me,”I don’t have it Love.”
Kaylee,”What! Why not?! What happened?!”
Me,”I left it home.”
Kaylee was horrified with me (I do usually have it and take tons of random pics.). She sort of laid into me about how we ALWAYS need to have it with us. It was funny. I guess I need to start packing it in the ol’ diaper bag.
And with that I’ve finally caught up on our recent activities. Now I can do my last minute (like the toiletries and meds.) packing. We are headed to Utah for a VERY quick Christmas visit. The children are excited to see all the grandparents.
MERRY CHRISTMAS!!!!
