from 2 weekends ago. AKA: Sam’s party weekend.

Good food. Our favorite: Rice and Beans. SO SO GOOD! Kaylee out ate me!

Lots of fun games. Family, and friends. I feel older when my younger siblings have birthdays…….

Regan laughs so hard when his Babushka is around him. LOVE IT.

She was pulling funny poses for her Papa.

Much to everyone’s surprise, Kaylee “helped” Sam blow out the candles.

She was quite pleased with herself.

This isn’t normal Regan behavior. I can count on one had how many times he has done this with me. Ya. I was jealous that he chose to pass out on his Babushka………. (He looks huge here. He’s really not though.)

We decided to check out the new airport. We even saw a life flight plane land. It made us all think of Mom H. (She was one of those rockin life flight nurses in her pre mission life.)

Tomorrow our Cassie Joan is turning 9!!! Dude! I remember holding her new little self in the hospital. Has it already been a year since we were at her baptism?!

K. Never mind sibling birthdays. Cassie and Jadzia Birthdays really make a girl feel older. Dearest cousins of mine, please stop growing up. Thanks so much. 😉

Cassie I promise to keep Kaylee AWAY from your candles!

Only me

So picture in your head my sweet husband shaking his head in disbelief and saying in a competently exasperated voice (while trying, but not succeeding not to laugh)“Only you. Only you.” To be fair I hear this a LOT. I’ve mentioned before that I’m accident pron. Poor Jon. It’s bad people. And now he has to watch out for Kaylee too! The poor dear is just like her Mama.

You ready for a VERY funny story? Mind you it HURTS to laugh, but it’s getting better everyday. But go ahead and laugh if it causes you no pain to do so. 😉

(Me at the hospital waiting to get an x-ray.)

So on Monday the 3rd I did a cardio DVD with Kaylee at home. Then I followed that up with some light weight arm toning. This where I a little bit killed myself. Yup with a tiny light 3 lb weight. I was doing some simple rows. I’ve done these tons and never have had a problem before.

After just 1/2 my reps I decided to stop because I was REALLY hurting. So I took some Ibuprofen and hit the shower.

Over the next week (yes week) I was popping pain killers like a mad women and NOT using my arm. But I was getting worse not better.

After a few nights of not sleeping (the pain was that bad. i’d pass out for bits at a time, but then wake up in a could sweat in pain.) Jon decided to really look at my shoulder. (This was on Sunday the 9th.) So I painfully removed my shirt so he could get a better look. Oh, man it looked bad. We thought it was dislocated. So Jon put his foot down and dragged me to the Dr.’s the following day.

At the Dr.’s office they were all very sweet trying not to laugh when I told them what I did, and how long it had been. They thought we were just messing with them at first. Then when they realized that we were seriouse they tried very hard to contain their many man snorts and giggles. I mean really people a 3 lb weight! It’s FUNNY!

Then I got to be held steady by one Dr., while another pulled, twisted, and shoved. LOVELY! The sweet Dr. A wrote me an Rx for some good pain killers so I could start sleeping. Then they shipped me off to the hospital to get x-rayed and make sure that I didn’t tear any bone and what not.

The x-ray’s showed that I did not tear any bone, or really dislocate my shoulder. I did however completely jack up my tendons. So I get to be on pain meds, use ice packs as much as possible, and wear this very stylish sling. Until everything feels better.

So lesson learned. No more weight lifting for me. If you can even call 3 lbs. weight lifting. Can you? hmmm….

Feel free to laugh at the absurdity of it all. I mean who damages them self seriously with a 3lb weight? Oh, that’s right I do!!! Makes me laugh every time. But then I am physically reminded that it HURTS to laugh.

How do you

Zumba?

A Sweet gal in our steak does a zumba class 3 times a week at our steak center. So I go whenever I can. It’s free, and I can bring the children. So that makes it PERFECT for me. Regan allows me to do about a 1/2 hour before he requires me to wear him, and Kaylee Zumba’s right along with me. She’s pretty good for a 2 year old.

Ignore my sweaty grossness. Focus instead on how into it Kaylee gets. She LOVES Zumba!

Regan (ever the snuggle bug) finds it exhausting/soothing? The movement + loud music + snuggling = passed out boy.
