This year was kinda different. Jon up and got sick. SICK. So sick. Me sleeping in the guestroom because his tonsils amped up the snoring to epic levels sick. I still had to wear ear plugs and there was two closed doors and the length of the house between us. So he didn't go out with us this year.
They kill me with their cuteness!
I couldn't find Regan's utility belt. So frustrated!
So this year it was just me and the kiddos making the rounds. It was good fun until Regan decided he needed to be held. I told him he needed to walk. He demanded to go home to Daddy, we headed home. About ten minutes before we got home they both declared their bags too heavy to carry. I became their pack mule.
After we got home Kaylee took over candy duty from Jon. She was giving out two heaping handfuls to her first several guest. We informed that the candy would be gone before trick-or-treating was over. She then limited her giving to two candies per treater. She had SO much fun this year.
After dinner we had our traditional dump and sort.
They didn't have to ask me too many times if a candy was safe. Regan kept chucking the chocolates at me saying, "Nope! Ouchy tushie. Chocolate is not for Regan." And Kaylee has gotten really good at distinguishing peanut chocolate candy from peanut free chocolate candy.
The rejected peanut/dairy filled goodness is for me and Jon to share. It's a nice silver lining to food allergies.
Kaylee: Hey Mom, here's a yellow M&M's bag for you. That's a peanuts one right?
Hope everyone had a great and safe Halloween.
