Utah free fishing day.

So Kaylee decided to do official real walking on Friday afternoon. She’s been doing up to ten steps for a while, but she walked about 7 feet without blinking! So I’m calling it! My baby is walking! No we don’t have any video yet, but hopefully soon. So because of the walking and the free fishing my parents came up for the weekend. Kaylee loves playing on blowup beds (what kid doesn’t?) and had fun being able to reach the dvd player and stuff. Glen and Denise stopped by Saturday afternoon. Josh spent Saturday and Sunday nights with us. We had Dan’s baby blessing on Sunday. And Sam brought Barry up for the night Sunday evening. So it was a fun weekend full of family.

Lots of stuff…

Last week Kaylee and I spent most of the week at my parents house for Barry’s graduation extravaganza! I forgot my camera and had to rely on my wonderful family and friends for pictures. They did an awesome job and were so nice to send them to me so I could blog. Jon joined us Friday night and we had a lovely weekend. We did loads of swimming and eating. and had a really nice goodbye party for Jon’s parents. We really miss having them at our house. They did a good job of spoiling all three of us the last couple of months. It was great seeing everyone and just having so much fun!

Playing catch up…..

fJust a sweet moment caught on camera of Kaylee and her Auntie Lipgloss (a.k.a Sam.) They both share a passion for lipgloss that I just think is too cute. It’s hard to tell, but in the small picture Kaylee is putting on some lipgloss for the hundredth time that night. She just had to sneak in one more application before bed! 🙂

Jon put Kaylee in bed with me at about 7am when she started stirring, and rubbed her back till she fell asleep. Well she slept until 10am!!!! So very nice for me. She was so happy when she woke up it was great. Don’t all you Mom’s out there feel just the same way?

So I know some of you may think it’s lame that Kaylee was 13 months old before I let her experience grass… Her skin is just sooo iky that I wanted to wait. Not to mention her seasonal allergies. Well it was a bath night anyway so I decided to bite the bullet now that it’s finally warm here, and see how she reatced to grass. Her little body did ok, but she really didn’t like the way it felt on her skin. She kept trying to adjust her legs so her ankles wouldn’t touch the grass. It was really funny. She refused to crawl and kept giving the grass dirty looks. She stayed in the middle of the lawn for about 30 min. She did discover cloud gazing and thought that was fun. As soon as Jon got close enough for her to reach him she climbed up into his lap and was so happy to be off the grass.

She was so funny the third time we put her on the grass. She was just standing and looking around. Jon said it would be good standing practice to put her on the grass since she didn’t like it. So I went to get the camera to take a picture of her just standing there, and wouldn’t you know she decided to sit down and play. Well she sort of kind of likes grass now.
