And to all a good night.

So I told Kaylee that we needed to pack so we could go see Papa, Yaya, & Barry. She was so excited and kept repeating their names while she threw the entire contents of her and Regan’s unfolded clean clothes basket into their suitcase. So to distract her while I folded and packed the kids clothes I had her dress herself. I had to take a few pictures of my funny miss.

A fun family tradition. After dinner of yummy Navajo tacos. We read a story about the symbols of Christmas. Jon narrated this year. And then we all take turns picking a favorite Christmas song and sing. My Dad was funny conducting us while we sang. My cousin Stephanie got a video that she put on her Facebook. It’s pretty funny.

Kaylee loves to sing, but since my family really isn’t the best at singing it took her a bit to realize what we were doing and to join in. She also started conducting the “music” with her Papa. She was sitting on Linda’s lap, and Linda was trying to sing and not laugh when Kaylee finally decided to join in.

Kaylee got to open her present box from Jamie, Linda, & the girls after we were done singing. She needed the girls to show her what to do. It was good practice with a couple of pros. She did great Christmas morning after her practice with the girls. Jamie & Linda a seriously professionals at spoiling us. They gave Kaylee the most awesome Leap Frog learn to read book pad. And a bunch of books to go with it. Plus some really great sight word books. Not to mention a couple of bags of hand me downs. Hand me downs are the BEST! Regan also got a super cute outfit from them that I can’t wait for him to wear.

The kids in their Christmas jammies. I think in a few months we are going to have to try and get Kaylee to give kisses on Regan’s cheeks and not his lips. HaHa! It’s a good thing they are still so young and innocent. She really loves to give Regan kisses and hugs.

Sam took these photos of us. I love them. The one with Jon and Kaylee is funny as Sam took it while Kaylee was saying a prayer. Kaylee herd the camera and so looked up said, “cheese!” and then finished up her prayer. We gave Sam a hard time about taking a picture during a prayer.

We had to quickly open stocking before heading over to Jamie & Linda’s for Christmas breakfast.
Breakfast was at 10:00 am, but as we are not morning people we were late and only had time to open stockings before rushing out the door.

Regan does not like the car seat unless it’s moving. So he wasn’t too happy sitting in his seat waiting for all his slow family to get out the door into the cars and off to eat. Breakfast by the way to make you all so super jealous is (every year): eggs, bacon, spam (for the odd ones), and scones with honey butter. Can you say YUM – O!

We let Kaylee open all of Regan’s presents. Sam helped. Kaylee had a blast.

Our cheese ball. It’s so hard to catch her natural smile as she like to yell, “cheese!” for the camera. She will give you an awesome really cute real smile after the flash goes off. Hope she grows out of that. I’d like to someday soon get her real smile without strategic planning.

I think she had a psychic vision of what was in this one. She was very possesive even before she tore at the paper and saw what was inside.

She had more gifts that Sam opened for her as she was off getting her baby out of the packaging with Barry. She LOVES her new baby. I knew she was getting a similar baby from Abuela Cristina so she left this one from Yaya at Yaya’s house. She gave her baby squishes and kisses goodbye as we left my parents house.

I love how super white Regan looks when my Mom holds him.

Saturday morning we stopped by the Hurricane park to meet up with Jon’s old high school buddies. It was lots of fun seeing them. I met E.R. for the very first time, but we forgot to get a picture before E.R. and his girlfriend left. We also missed Heather. She was spending time with her sister. This was Jon’s first time at a park with Kaylee wanting to play. He was so funny hovering over her to make sure she didn’t get hurt. He insisted that I wait at the bottom of the slide to catch her. I stood at the bottom and watched her come to a slow stop and then get herself down. He relaxed after that. I guess we need to take Jon to the park more.

This is the baby she opened at home from her Abuela when we got home Saturday night. She also got a cradle from me and Jon, and a baby pillow from Grandma Sapp. Both kids “cleaned up” this year. We want to thank everyone who helped to spoil our babies. And say thanks to everyone for the fun memories.

Still…

Still totally in love with our little man. Still can’t decide what color to call his hair. Still amazed at how awesome Kaylee is with Regan. Still can’t believe how big he is already. Still doing better than expected. Still beyond grateful for my babies.

FiRsTs…

This last weekend we had some fun firsts for our little family. Sam & Barry came up Friday night for a visit & the intention of taking Kaylee to St. George. We had a fun night with them. I got Kaylee all packed up & we said our goodbyes the next morning. She was so excited to be going somewhere, but we could tell she was confused when Jon & I didn’t jump in the car with her. She had a blast at Papa & Yaya’s house. They took her to their ward Christmas party so she could see Santa. Papa said she was excited about the candy, but didn’t give Santa the time of day. That night we talked with her via web cam. She was so cute chatting with us. We decided to have our family scripture & prayer while we were at it. So Jon, Regan, & I all got our Kaylee squishes & kisses via web cam Saturday night. Gotta say I LOVE technology! She went to church with them the next day before coming home. My awesome Dad sent me all the cute pictures that they took of their Kaylee visit. While Kaylee was gone little Regan got to experience only child ville. We think he missed his Kaylee as much as she missed him (she bee lined for him). Regan also got his first hair cut. I wanted to do it sooner, but with a 20 month old helper it just wasn’t possible. So while she was gone I cut both of my guys hair. Our house was spooky quiet without our Kaylee. We sure our happy to have her back home. Her Yaya wants her to visit solo again this weekend. We think my Mom misses seeing Kaylee everyday. We know Kaylee misses having Yaya around all the time. She will randomly ask for her Yaya & Papa.

Kaylee really likes Yaya’s big exercise ball, so Papa got her a Kaylee size one. She loves it.

I love the picture of her blowing us kisses. She seriously LOVES purses.

Yaya put huge curlers in her hair Sunday morning. She looks so grown up to me in these photos.

We will probably have to do a more thorough all over cut in just a few short weeks. Boys hair requires lots more in the cutting department than girls… He will catch up to & surpass Kaylee in hair cuts if this keeps up. I should have trimmed around his ears, but he was “done”.
Happy week everyone.
