and we have cuteness (as Jon would say)

We had the pleasure of meeting Davis last Sunday. He, his parents, and grandparents flew out from Atlanta for a vacation/visit. Jon and the children also met Kim and Lance. Kim is my sweet cousin. Jon agrees that she is a sweetie (“that Kim is a doll” were his words to me) and likes Lance and Davis as well. We also got to meet one of my newest baby cousins. Little Everlee is just so tiny and cute. I of course forgot to get a picture of her. (classic) We have rare Kreyling gatherings, so I was bummed that I didn’t get around to taking more pictures. But here are some of my favorites:

Lamby was a constant companion. Kaylee was a bit overwhelmed by all the unfamiliar faces, and didn’t want to give him up until the house emptied of most everyone.

Love Regan’s “I’m getting squished” face. He makes that face every time Kaylee hugs him. Guess Davis and Kaylee hug him the same. 😉

Cuteness that was mostly random in it’s happening. FYI, because I know you want to know. Davis’ eyes a just SO blue. And he is such a happy little boy. REALLY. So happy. And CUTE. And yes the same size as Kaylee who is a year older.

Wouldn’t be Jamie and Linda’s house with out a few games of FOOS BALL. Jon was totally into the game. So it was extra funny for me when he said,”SPIN Kaylee SPIN!”
And she let go to SPIN. So glad I had the camera out and on!
Jon: “NO! Like this!” (while very amused with his 2 year old team mate)
They lost.

FINALLY got some pictures of Regan with his Kreyling greats. Just need to make a trip down south to get some of the Sapp greats.

These were the only children left when we thought to take some pictures. Ya. We are awesome like that. It would have been SWEET to get all my Grandparents greats that were there in a photo with them. Have to remember for next time.

Kaylee finally relaxed enough to let go of Lamby long enough to enjoy her Jadzia time. (Bit of a run on huh?) It was quite a party. And quite a lot of Kreyings. And lots of children so we had lots of cuteness happen. Thanks so much Aunt Linda for the good times!

Regan James 6 months old

Weight: 13 lbs 11 oz 1.2%
Height: 26 in 28%
Head: 16.5 in 7%

Well, not so great today at Regan’s 6 month WCC. He was 13 lbs even at his 4 month WCC. So we are going in for a weight check in a month. (Didn’t I just finish going in for Kaylee’s monthly weight checks? Yup. Indeed I did. SIGH…) Last month our lovely pediatrician agreed that holding off on solids was a good idea due to a family history of food allergies. But clearly that plan is OUT. 11 oz in 2 months is NOT good. So in one month depending on his weight gain and reactions to different foods he may need some testing done. Our Doc. is being a bit more concerned with this issue since Kaylee has food allergies, and a cousin who is also seen by our Doc. just got an epinephrine pen because his food allergies are THAT severe. So although we waited to test Kaylee until she was 2, mister man may not be so lucky and get tested in a month. Regan is also to start up on Zyrtec. We are hoping that will help his eczema clear up. Otherwise he is a delightfully happy bundle of laughter and joy in our home. He is not as active as he should be because he is just so content to just be. Oh, and tonight when Jon gave him his very first feeding of rice cereal he LOVED it. Jon said he had 8-10 full baby spoonfuls of the stuff, and that was after I had nursed him.

After

So happy that all went well in surgery. We got a “did you remember that you had a surgery” call at 6:45 a.m. So AWESOME that we forgot to set the alarm clock. Jon and Kaylee flew out the door. She was pretty excited to be woken up to go some where with her Daddy. She did wondered about me and Regan as I was buckling her into her seat. I let her know it was just her and Daddy and she happily waved bye to me as they pulled out of the garage. Kaylee was pretty lethargic most of the day. She had very few requests that we were happy to do. First she needed her promised otter pop. Then she needed to go on a walk. Then (after realizing that she was still in a diaper) she needed panties.

She got a fun tiger print gown to wear. Daddy (Jon) took some classic self portraits. As well as photos of all her tubes. Jon said she was too tired and sleepy to care about what was going on. She doesn’t normally wake up until 9 a.m. Then she got some good drugs from the anesthesiologist and just really didn’t care what was going on.

“Lucky” girl. Getting to eat an otter pop on the couch while watching some good ol’ PBS kids.

She fell asleep during our walk while holding her mail from her Great Grandma Sapp. She later discovered the treasures in her mail and had fun with her balloons. She even felt well enough (after a dose of Tylenol with codeine) to help Daddy answer phones at his makeshift home office – a.k.a the kitchen table. She was pretty much back to her normal self by bedtime. Thanks again for all the thoughts and prayers.
