When your pipes spring a leak

So there was this noise see. And it was a strange hissing noise. And then I noticed the water. Because I slipped and almost died. And then I turned off the water to the toilet (that’s the extent of my handiness) had a mini meltdown and called Jon. Because the wall behind the toilet was soggy and water was running through the wall from the toilet room to our sink area! AND then I went to the hall to grab towels and the hall flooring was soggy too!!!! I’m mean it just kept getting worse! Water was running through the walls and ruining all the floors! 🙁 Plus I live in the dark place so visions of mold and sickness and death….

You can see the tiny pin hole squirting away.IMG_2803

Jon came home and fixed it all. An hour and a half and no more leak. It was a long lunch break and then he went back to the office. Meanwhile I got to try cleaning with all the children milling about. Sometimes I miss an office job. IMG_2805 IMG_2806

I was left with this hot mess. BUT the leaky pipe was fixed fast AND Jon had everything on hand to do it. Yea for torches and extra copper pipe and stuff. Also yea for a handy hubby because plumbers are pricey!IMG_2807Our fancy rig to dry everything out…. This is gonna take a while.

Ward Christmas Party 2015

Our ward Christmas party was laid back and fun. We had a couple of cute visitors (first time doing respite for foster) this weekend as well. It was fun to take them out to dinner and to see Santa.

The kids had fun drawing all over the paper covered tables.DSC00929 DSC00930 DSC00931

Jon had the nice camera to take family photos. So I got to use the other camera…DSC00932  DSC00935Waiting in line to see Santa with four kids…. Pretty much not my favorite. Kaylee didn’t even want to go talk to him this year. WHAT?!

IMG_9190 IMG_9192 IMG_9194 IMG_9195Thankfully when she found out that our sweet Sister Missionaries where helping Santa out she changed her mind. I mean really! She’s not even eight yet. Slow down on growing up kid!!!!

1st Christmas Concert

I’m about to hop on the freeway after loading kind into the van after school pick up and Kaylee starts talking about hair and dress option for her mandatory concert tonight. WHAT?!?!?!

I forgot to write it down on the calendar (face palm), missed the reminder flyer, and had %100 forgotten all about it. I totally flipped out. I called Sally in a panic got the low down, called Jon, and then apologized to kids.

So Kaylee had her first mandatory (music grade) concert tonight.  We had a good view of the back of Kaylee’s head while waiting for her turn to sing.

It was a pretty cute concert. Kaylee was nervous and excited. She did really great. Jon is loving how short she is. ALWAYS in the front. It makes picture taking easier. 🙂IMG_2521

Bonus was getting to see friends. Olivia was SO funny. I love that girl.IMG_2535 IMG_2556Aaaand this is how Regan felt about the concert. Next year he has to be in it. Holy tears. He did not enjoy himself at all. Regan is not looking forward to school music concerts……

Super happy that Jon was on camera duty. I had my hand full of crabby Regan.
