worlds biggest cracker

I forgot I took these photos of Kaylee waiting for Emily to take her to Peter Pan. She was quite excited to get all fancy AND get to wear her Tinker Bell dress-up. Regan wanted in on the photo action when he saw me snapping away.

Please note that the children are about the same height. We are getting more “Oh, what cute twins!” comments everyday. From strangers in passing of course. So I generally just smile, say thanks and keep on going about by business.

After the play we met up with Kaylee and Emily (and her family) for dinner. It was a lovely evening and we enjoyed getting to know Emily’s clan. They are super nice.
Regan enjoyed the world’s largest cracker. I swear that thing was equal to half a sleeve of saltines!

Oh, and this was the children’s first experience dinning Al Fresco. So I of course had to get a sub par photo as evidence of the event. 😉

Peter Pan

Emily invited Kaylee to go see Peter Pan. It’s her niece Becca’s favorite show, and there was an extra ticket.

Kaylee was SO excited to see Peter Pan and meet Becca. We have herd lots about Becca over that last couple of months. And Kaylee has seen lots of video of her on Emily’s phone.

It just melted my heart how cute these girls were together. I am told that these two held hands for part of the show. Becca brought Kaylee a pirate hat and patch. Emily said that Kaylee would switch between her Peter Pan hat and Pirate hat depending on who was on stage.

She has been talking about Becca, Peter Pan, Pirates, Hook, Tiger Lily, The “tick tocking croc”, and how fairy dust can make you fly ever since.

We love that she was reportedly well behaved for her first time to the theater. We also LOVE that she so enjoyed herself.

So thank you Emily and family for inviting Kaylee to her first and best theater experience.

Snow day

Day three was a relaxing day spending time with the cousins at Grandma’s house. Day four was SNOW DAY!  All the kiddos were excited to head up to Cedar and play in the snow.

Kaylee remembers snow. Regan does not. He foolishly dove into the snow before we finished gearing him up. He quickly learned that one NEEDS gloves for making snow balls.

Kaylee was most excited to make snow angels.

We tool the kids to the smaller slopes so they could climb up themselves. It’s a work out hauling kids up snowing slopes. Them crawling up most of the time help a ton!

Shannon and Dwayne tried racing, but Shannon totally biffed it. It was very funny.

Shannon helping her Daddy-O down the hill with a swift kick to the tukkis. You can see my dying with laughter in the background! Too Funny!

And this is how our adventure ended. Kaylee got mowed over (by that I mean she got bumped into. not hard.) twice in a row, and her (loose) gloves popped off. After that she was DONE. “My hands are freezing, and I’m NEVER going to see them again!”
Not dramatic at all that one.
Regan looked the same because he was NOT done. We didn’t get a photo of his sad face though.
I must say visiting the snow is SO much nicer than living in it!
