We’ve been house hunting for a VERY long time. We had an amazing opportunity land in our laps that we jumped on. Things that will change with the move – the house we live in. That’s literally it. Everything else stays the same. For my trauma kids that’s HUGE. We’ll still have fallout because changing houses IS a big deal. So, we’re acknowledging the BIG change and reminding often on all the things that are the same. I got ZERO photos of the actual move or our many many helpers. ZERO.

We had an veritable army help us on moving day. Which was great because between home life with five kids, renovating the new place, and packing 90% of our house/stuff solo I was DONE.
The little girls’ room will NEVER be this clean again. We’ll put in the matching flooring after they move out.
Kaylee is thrilled to have a room to herself. After sharing a room with her brother for several years it was well past time for her to fly solo. And yet, the bookends remain joined….
The boys room is really long. They are no longer bunked and each have room for their own desks. If you look closely you can just make out that Regan is IN his bed.
And Jon and I are in the garage for now. We are adding an addition of a master suit, game room, and den to the house. The garage is insulated, has A.C., and refinishing the floors was my first new house project. Overall it’s a nice temporary space for the grown ups. In fact the children used the garage as their game room all summer while Jon and I worked on house renovations. As you can see we’ve already been bookend infiltrated on evening one. They DO have their own rooms and bed.
