Kaylee had Jon’s night all planned. Birthday dinner at Red Robin followed by FoYo. Sounds fun in theory. In reality we have R. And he is at that age where dinner at a restaurant is torture.
So it was more trying to get him to stay in his high chair and not throw food than actual fun. By the time we finished dinner Jon was DONE and just wanted to be home. FoYo was put on hold.
Hahahaha! Oh, man. He kills me. Total fake OOH face just for the camera. HA!This shirt says DAD in binary. He could totally read it. I just had to trust the site that it was right. I cleaned our room (gasp!) and found his missing double sided foam tape. So I thought it would make him laugh if I tossed it in a gift bag. It did. 🙂So the day before his birthday he was all, “So…I could really use a new wallet…” I told him too bad I already bought and wrapped his present. And then I had wife guilt and hunted down a new wallet for him. Which by the way, didn’t realize that they had SO very many options. And I couldn’t call him about preferences because I wanted it to be a surprise. It was and I picked a good one. Phew.
Hoping next year is a bit more fun an not as full of wrangling toddlers in a restaurant. 🙂
