Day one of our five day Christmas vacation.
Kaylee woke up bright and EARLY Christmas morning. Like 5:30 AM. WIDE awake and SO SO excited. We pulled her into bed with us and she snuggled, but did not fall back to sleep. At 7:30 I tossed her in the shower, and did some last minute laundry and packing of the toiletries.
Regan woke up at around 8, and we watched a movie while we waited for Jon to wake up.
Jon read to us out of Luke before we opened presents and talked about the real reason we celebrate Christmas. It was nice. I think Kaylee get’s it. Hopefully next year Regan will too.
These are just a few of our favorite gifts. All of us got SUPER spoiled by everyone.
Regan was beyond thrilled with his new Buzz Lightyear jammies. “Buzz Lightyear! I LOVE Buzz Lightyear!”
Kaylee was equally excited as you can see by her new Tinker Bell Dress up and purple bike helmet. Jon fixed up her bike tires and she has been out riding a bit since.
I made Regan a shield. I was very happy with how well it went over. He knew right away what it was and started playing right away.
I made Jon a flag sign for when we go camping. He mentioned months ago at our ward campout that he wanted one. He was laughing SO hard and is excited to use it for our next camping trip.
Jon got me a Garmin. And I LOVE LOVE LOVE it. I have THE worst sense of direction EVER! I am always calling him and asking him to help find me and bring me home. Until now Jon has been my GPS. The Garmin will for sure make life easier!
I got the kids this tea set to replace the porcelain set that had more in the trash than left to it. Kaylee was all, “It’s plastic! Regan can’t break it!!!”
After opening presents we loaded into the rental car and drove up to Utah. After our arrival and once we got settled in the children helped opened more presents with/for Grandma and The Grandpaaa.
I made the all the grandparents t-shirts with their name and year they became grandparents on it.
The children were especially excited about the HUGE box of chocolate that Grandma and Grandpa let them open. Regan said, “Chocolate! I WIN!” We had to break the news to him that these chocolates were ouchy tushie chocolates and he couldn’t eat any.
It was a different, but still VERY nice Christmas day.
