This year Ronon chose Disney’s Zombies 2 movie for our family costume. Vala is a human cheerleader. Lots of pink for her. Jon is a human adult city council member. He was happy about the lack of face and hair paint. Zoë, Kaylee, and Ronon were the werewolves. And Regan and Janice rounded out the cast as Zombies. Ronon’s pose here is perfect!I LOOOVE how excited most of our family is about group costumes. I love that Ronon gets to pick since Halloween is also his adoption day and that it saves us from any augments. And Ronon of course LOVES being in charge. I love these kids. Even when they are extra. I took Kaylee, Ronon, and Regan to just a few houses. Zoë and Vala stayed home as unfortunate life choices prevented them from trick or treating. Hopefully they will make different choices next year.My three masked trick-or-treaters. I was very impressed with the extra efforts of everyone who was passing candy and fellow trick-or-treaters to be as safe as possible during a pandemic. nearly everyone was masked up and lots of passers had multiple candy zones to help with social distancing. Several evening before Halloween I took the bookends to a haunted house with some friends. Kaylee and Ronon were the only two who wanted to go. The others stayed home with Dad.Ronon’s mask kept sliding off and needed constant adjusting. It’s a whole thing. Very grateful to have masks and feel more comfortable giving social time to the kids during a pandemic. Now to get the 5 year old to keep his nose and mouth covered…. This is my haunted house crew. I think the bigs were smiling… Ronon wasn’t. The haunted house was perfect. The bookends and this crew went again Halloween night with Jon being the adult that time. Again super pleased and grateful for the extra efforts made by the family that did the haunted house to make it safe as possible during a pandemic.
