We turned their nursery into a guest room. We had MANY lovely guests over the years crammed into this small room. But I liked giving my house guests a door for privacy. And I really do enjoy house guests.
About a month before Jon had the opportunity to get a new job we turned the guest room into a home office for him. We had decided to make some financial changes and getting rid of the monthly expense of office rental/staff (that one was HARD/SAD)/cleaners/utilities was going to help us pay our personal bills.
Anyway…….. If you come visit me in AZ you will NOT have a door for privacy. You will instead be in our living/playroom. We are just fancy like that.
They so kindly removed the wallpaper for us. I REALLY appreciated that. Those wood doors took FOREVER to paint white. I am so glad I did it though.
All the closets were packed. I was not at all suprised they were looking for a bigger house.
These are the only pictures I have of the guestroom. Our nieces and nephew were it’s current residents. So I had hung a blanket so the morning sun (blinds plus sheers in this room) wouldn’t wake them up TOO early. And Jacob got to sleep on the air mattress. BUT Jon did set up a computer for him so he was fine with that arrangement.
I had all my Japanese memorabilia decorating this room. And we painted the walls a soft butter-cream. It was a light and airy room.
