Every year the high school where my Dad teaches puts on a Halloween thing for small children. This year Regan had a follow up appointment scheduled with Dr. K. for the day of the event. (And what an event it is!) So we dropped Kaylee off to have some Papa time while we went to see the (you wanna say wizard don’t ya?) Dr. She was sadly overwhelmed by everything so she didn’t smile for any of the pictures. But she came away from the event with lots of goodies thanks to her awesome Papa. I only had to take a few things away from her (allergy reasons).
Regan on the other hand didn’t get great news from his visit. He has only gained 4 oz in the last 5 weeks. Not good, but better than losing right? So he is on yet another formula, and is being scheduled for a scope and biopsy. Which sucks, but it could be worse. While we were with Dr. K he was taking calls in regards to another patient who was getting prepped for life flight. Keep in mind his oldest patients are 18. So really it’s about perspective.
Although to be honest I didn’t care for the following coming out of Dr. K’s mouth: “Crohns,” “Colitis,” and finally, “It’s a bit worrisome.” The last repeated several times. So there you go!
Kaylee’s buddy Carter invited her to the most happenin’ 3 year old’s party EVA! Seriously I sort of wished I was a kid so I could go crazy on all the bounce houses and giant slides. Carter’s Daddy even strung up the pinata inside the big bounce house. Kaylee had a really hard time standing up while swinging the (soft foam) bat. She mostly took her turn on her knees. Which was hilarious!
She even braved the GIANT slide several times. And this happened in the morning before Papa and Yaiyai came up to go to our annual Trunk-or-Treat. What a lucky little girl!
